Killer Apple Raitha (apples in yogurt sauce)

That was the day when an aunt created this wonder in my kitchen...a fruit Raitha!

I have loved it since then and after many variations...I came up with this version - all of whose ingredients you'll find at any/all grocery stores.

A no compromise in taste, nutrient content and colors!

5 large
apples (red/green) shredded (big shreds)
1 inch ginger piece, shredded
3 c
organic yogurt
2 Tbsp
extra virgin olive oil (evoo)
3/4 c
3/4 c
cilantro, finely chopped
salt to taste

How to Make Killer Apple Raitha (apples in yogurt sauce)


  • 1Heat EVOO in a pan and add peanuts to the same.
  • 2Once the peanuts have roasted, add the apple shreds, ginger and cilantro to the pan and fry them for about 10 min and turn off the heat.
  • 3Once the mixture has cooled, add yogurt and salt and serve (with rice/tortilla/tacos - whatever you would find under the sun!)
