My dad liked this so my mom made it for get togethers. When I was old enough, I took over making it. Whenever my dad and his wife had the families over, his request was for this, and he did not like coconut! Now that both of my parents are gone, making this for other get togethers helps remind me of them.

Ingredients
- - minature marshmallows, 1 bag
- - regular or lite sour cream, 1 small container
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 can fruit cocktail, in syrup (lite, or packed in juices), mostly drained
- - coconut, one bag, sweetened
How To Make hawaiian ambrosia

Step 1Combine all ingredients except coconut and marshmallows in a large bowl. Add coconut and marshamallows to taste and stir to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 2NOTE: This tastes better if allowed to let the flavors mingle overnight.

Step 3OPTIONAL: Add a tropical flavor of gelatin for added taste and color.
