well this is one my grammy made and i make it for holidays and in the summer. I think about every time i make it. but i added to pistachio pudding.

  • 1 jar(s)
    home canned pears diced
  • 1 jar(s)
    peaches home canned diced
  • 2 can(s)
    mandrin oranges leave whole
  • 1 Tbsp
    colored marshmellows
  • 2 sprig(s)
    of celery diced
  • 3/4 c
    walnuts or pecans chopped
  • 1 pkg
    cool whip
  • 1/2 pkg
    pistachio pudding
  • 2 can(s)
    fruit coctail can be used in place of peaches and pears
  • 1/4 pkg
  • 2 large
    banana not to ripe and not to green or it well be bitter diced
  • 2 large
    apples of choice you dont have to peel them if you dont want too. diced

How to Make fruit salad


  1. drain all fruit real good in to a another container save juice.and while sliceing banana and apples put in the reserved juice from fruit. while getting the other ingreideints together. i find they dont turn brown as soon this way.
  2. now add all ingredients except whip cream mix well coating well with the pistachio pudding.when mixed well add the whip cream . now the reserved juice goes to all the helpers in the kitchen. . i can my fruit without sugar. so makes for a nice juice. while preparing dinner. this is always made for holidays so we love to have leftovers the next day with turkey and cranberry sauce. a great lunch. enjoy
