This is a showy dish that also happens to taste divine. It can't be made too far ahead of time, however, as the fruit needs to be fresh for the full effect and taste.

Ingredients
- 4 - oranges, peeled and membrane removed
- 4 - apples, unpeeled but cored
- 4 - bananas peeled
- 1 - fresh pineapple peeled and cored (or 1 can pineapple slices drained)
- 3 - limes, peeled and membrane removed
- 1/4 cup grnulated sugar
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup orange juice or tart french dressing
- 1 - lettuce head (romaine or iceberg)
How To Make christmas eve fruit salad (sallye)

Step 1Line a large shallow bowl or serving platter with lettuce leaves (overlap as in a petal formation)

Step 2Thinly slice fruits across the horizontal circumfirence Arrange fruits in layers over the lettuce bed in the order called out in ingredients Sprinkle with sugar and chopped nuts

Step 3Just before serving, pour juice or dressing over entire mixture
