When I was a teenager, one of my aunts brought this sweet salad to a family reunion at grandma's house, and everyone loved it. Being the totally non-cook that I was at the time, it never occured to me to try to replicate it, until I married and became interested in cooking. By then this dish was a distant - but fond - memory, so I wrote auntie and asked for the recipe. She graciously sent it by return mail. It is very good, and so easy! It is called Dixie Cup Salad because my aunt always froze it in Dixie cups - handy and cute! A warning though, you may not consider just one cup a serving!
