A friend gave me this recipe awhile ago - I have not tried making it yet- but I had it at her home a few weeks ago at a Pampered Chef party- and that's how I got this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces pkg. cherry jello
  • 3 ounces pkg. lemon jello
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water,divided
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 21 ounces can cherry pie filling
  • 3 ounces pkg. cream cheese,softened
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces can crushed pineapple and juice
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup thawed whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

How To Make cherry holiday salad

  • Step 1
Dissolve the cherry jello in 1 cup of the boiling water. Stir in the cherry pie filling, and spread mixture into a 9x13-inch glass dish, and chill until almost set, about 45 minutes. Dissolve the lemon jello in the remaining water; stir in the lemon juice and set aside. Mash the cream cheese in a medium bowl, or soften in the microwave for 20 seconds.Stir in the mayonnaise. Pour lemon gelatin into the cream cheese mixture and stir until smooth. To this mixture add the undrained pineapple. To the lemon /pineapple mixture add the marshmallows and whipped topping. Spread the pineapple mixture over the cherry layer and sprinkle the mini chips over all. Chill in the refrigerator until set. She said she usually makes this dessert the night before. It is so good!!
