Janet made this recipe and it was a hit. If you don't want to use cream cheese cottage cheese will work just fine. NOTE after chopping the apple drizzle some lemon juice on the apples to stop them from turning dark.

- 20 oz. cans crushed pineapple
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 small package lemon jello
- 1 cup chopped apple
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 ounces cream cheese at room temprature
- 8 ounces cool whip
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well
