Janet made this recipe and it was a hit. If you don't want to use cream cheese cottage cheese will work just fine. NOTE after chopping the apple drizzle some lemon juice on the apples to stop them from turning dark.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can(s)
    crushed pineapple
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 small
    package lemon jello
  • 1 c
    chopped apple
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese at room temprature
  • 8 oz
    cool whip
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make AUTUM APPLE SALAD

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well
  2. Cover and chill 2 hours, serve chilled.
  3. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on just before serving. Enjoy
