Very EASY, & My Stress free Holiday salad to go along with your Holiday dinner. The Red and Green apples make this so festive Looking, Your sure to enjoy. Ps: Easy on the waist line also. . . Sorry no photo. I've Not made this yet this yr.

Ingredients

  • HOLIDAY RED & GREEN APPLE SALAD
  • 1 can - pineapple chunks, drained
  • 2 - diced red apples
  • 2 - diced green apples
  • 1 Cup - diced celery
  • 1 cup - cranberries fresh, (optional: sub marshino cherries for cranberries)
  • 1 cup - raisins, yellow or golden ( soak in the drained pineapple juice) (optional :sub dates for raisins)
  • 1 cup - chopped pecans ( optional) or walnuts
  • DRESSING:
  • 1 cup - mayonaise
  • 2-3 TBS - sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla
  • 1/4 cup - apple cider or apple cider vinegar

How To Make apple salad holiday style by freda

  • Step 1
    1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients above. 2. I toss the apples in the pineapple juice to keep from turning brown. 3. Then soak my raisins in the pineapple juice also, this makes them plump.
  • Step 2
    mix dressing, then pour into the salad mixture. Toss very well. Chill, serve, & enjoy. This recipe can be made for a large group easily, Just increase the apples and dressing amt. Best guess is 1/2 apple per person.
