Recently, we had dinner at a little country restaurant. They served a delicious apple salad. I couldn’t fine anything that suited on the web so I had a try at making it myself. I think I would like the pecans in it, but hubby doesn’t like nuts in salads. Oh well.

Ingredients
- 1 apples, granny smith
- 2 fuji apples
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 cup pineapple tidbits, drained (save juice)
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped pecans or dried cranberries (optional)
- FOR DRESSING:
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
How To Make apple salad

Step 1Chop apples and mix with lemon juice.

Step 2Add pineapple and raisins.

Step 3Add pecans or cranberries if desired

Step 4Mix mayonnaise, pineapple juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add vanilla if desired.

Step 5Mix fruit and dressing. Store in a covered container. Refrigerate a couple of hours before serving.
