Re the yogurt: I have used the plain, non-fat called for in the recipe, but in a pinch I've also used non-fat vanilla, pineapple, or most any white-colored yogurt.
1each, fugi and golden delicious apples, cut into 8ths, then sliced into small bite sized pieces
~~fruit fresh, to keep apples from browning
1/4 ceach, mayo and plain non-fat yogurt
1/2 ccraisins (dried cranberries)
1/3 cdiced celery
2 tspsugar or splenda
1/2 tsplemon juice
How to Make Apple-Craisin Salad
- Chop the apples and sprinkle with Fruit Fresh (or dip them a solution of fruit fresh and water) to prevent browning.
- Add the craisins and celery to the apples. Mix together the mayo, yogurt, sugar or Splenda, salt and lemon juice, gently stir into the apples.
- Chill and enjoy. Refrigerates nicely for a couple days.
