wonderful french dressing
I used to cook for a school in Northern Wisconsin and this is the French dressing that I made from scratch. "A winner" it soon became and the kids loved it. My son who was a student at the school would sooner drink it, "it's that good mom" he'd say! So here it is, I hope you all enjoy it too. Life is too short to use bottled dressing on your salad. Ummm, sounds like a fine wine to me...

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, zested
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can 8oz. tomato sauce
- OR 1 CAN OF CONDENSED TOMATO SOUP
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese mustard powder
- OR REGULAR MUSTARD POWDER
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
How To Make wonderful french dressing

Step 1Place vinegar, onion and garlic in a blender or food processor and puree

Step 2Take the remaining ingredients and place into a (1) one qt canning jar, add onion puree and shake until well blended.

Step 3Make this dressing a day in advance of serving, the flavors only get better with age. This keeps 2 weeks in the fridge.
