copycat wendy's chicken/pecan salad
I don't know if Wendy's still serve this, but the spring of 2010 I got hooked on them, and with them costing almost $5 each I thought I'd better start making my own. As a matter of fact I ate them as my evening meal almost daily and lost alot of weight. I buy a pomegrannette/blueberry vinegarette dressing to use on it. Wendy's uses a Marzetti brand, but it is under contract with them, so it is not sold to the public, or wasn't at the time

Ingredients
- 2-3 cups spring mix lettuce greens ( sold in salad section )
- 1/2 small unpeeled red apple, chunked
- 1 tablespoon heaping, feta cheese crumbles
- 1 tablespoon craisins
- 1 tablespoon chopped toasted pecans
- 1 ounce grilled chicken breast, cut up bite size ( i have used tyson's pre-cooked) in the fresh meat section

Step 1Layer items in your salad bowl in order given,

Step 2Heat chicken before adding to salad

Step 3add pomegranete vinegarette dressing, toss and enjoy
