chinese chicken salad

I sometimes make this up to a day ahead as I prefer marinating the chicken in my own homemade Teriyaki Sauce and then tossing it on the BBQ just before. This is always good for BBQs and Pot Lucks and just plain good eating.

Ingredients

  • 1 - head cabbage, shreaded
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 packages top ramen (1 seasoning packet)
  • - cooked, chicken
  • - slivered almonds, if desired
  • - toasted sesame seed, if desired
  • DRESSING
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

How To Make chinese chicken salad

  • Step 1
    Mix dressing ingredients in a jar so you can shake it until sugar is broken down and it's not grainy.
  • Step 2
    Toss all salad ingredients together and add dressing just before serving.
