I got this recipe from my aunt. It's great served on croissants. A little fancier than your standard chicken salad.

  • 2 1/2 c
    cooked, cubed chicken breast
  • 2/3 c
    dried cherries (or cranberries)
  • 1/3 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/3 c
    chopped tart apple
  • 1/3 c
    chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 c
  • 4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 7
    croissants, split

How to Make Cherry Chicken Salad


  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cherries, celery, apple, and pecans.
  2. In another bowl, combine the mayo, buttermilk, salt and pepper. Add to the chicken mixture and mix well.
  3. Spoon 1/2 cup of chicken salad onto each croissant. (or serve on whatever is your preference)
