How To Make parchment paper rounds for cakes

  • 1
Measure how much parchment paper you need and cut it off.
  • 2
Place your cake pan on it, hold it steady with one hand while tracing around it with a pencil – a pen doesn’t work.
  • 3
Using a pair of scissors, cut out the circle slightly inside the pencil line.
  • 4
Place it in the pan making sure it’s flat and covers the entire bottom then remove it.
  • 5
Grease your pan with butter or cooking spray, place the round back in the pan and press it down so it’s well coated.
  • 6
Peel off the parchment paper round, flip it over and place the ungreased side down inside the pan. Do the same; press it down to coat.
  • 7
Both surfaces are coated and you can now flour the sides of the pan.
