Saw this on Pinterest & it works great. My washer had a ring of build up around the top, looked dirty so I gave it a try. Wow, looks new again.

1 quart distilled white vinegar
1 quart bleach

Step 1

Fill your washer on largest setting. Add 1 quart of distilled white vinegar. Pour some down the fabric softener dispensers & other dispensers if yours is not removable. Let it aggitate for 1 minute. Stop it, let it sit for 1 hour. (When the hour was almost up, I took a toothbrush to the ring that was above the water line, took little effort). Also, I wiped off any other dirt I saw. Turn the washer on again & run it through the complete cycle.

Step 2

Repeat this step again, only using the bleach. After you let the cycle run through, run it again with just water, making sure no bleach is left behind.
Step 3

RESULTS: A bright, clean, bacteria ridden washer that looks new again. Do this at least once a year. Happy cleaning!!!
