Thanks to Emeril Lagasse for this mixture of herbs. This will last indefinitely if kept in airtight container in pantry.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried summer savory
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons dried fennel seeds

How To Make herbes de provence mix (sallye)

  • Step 1
    Place all items in airtight quart jar, secure with lid and shake vigorously until all spices are well blended. May be stored in airtight container in pantry indefinitely
  • Step 2
    Note: Recipes using herbs de provence generally call for a bundle which can be made as follows: Cut approximately 6 inch square of cheesecloth Place 1 or 2 tablespoon of herb mixture in middle of cheesecloth Pull all edges up tightly and tie snugly with cooking twine
