I make the homemade cookies in the family and Sissy makes the dog treats. These are awesome and all our dogs love them

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup wheat germ
6 tablespoons shortening
1 - egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon molasses
1/2 cup water

How To Make dog treats from sissy's kitchen

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients well.

Step 2

Cut in shortening.
Step 3

Add egg, molasses, and water and mix well.
Step 4

Knead dough lightly on floured surface.
Step 5

Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes.
Step 6

Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until dough is firm to the touch.
