I make the homemade cookies in the family and Sissy makes the dog treats. These are awesome and all our dogs love them

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    powdered milk
  • 1/2 c
    wheat germ
  • 6 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp
    molasses
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make Dog Treats from Sissy's Kitchen

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix dry ingredients well.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Add egg, molasses, and water and mix well.
  4. Knead dough lightly on floured surface.
  5. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until dough is firm to the touch.
