How to Make Herbs used as hair rinses


  1. Catnip- promotes hair growth

    Chamomile- keeps hair and scalp healthy

    Comfrey- soothes and heals scalp irritations

    Elderflower- adds a light color to grey hair

    Lemongrass- tones the scalp

    Stinging nettle- astringent, relieves itching and irritation

    Parsley- relieves skin irritation

    Rosemary- enhances color in dark hair and controls dandruff

    Sage- Astringent for oily hair, helps repair damaged hair

    Thyme- has antiseptic, tonic and astringent properties

  2. To use simple make a tea with a teaspoon of herb in 8 oz of boiling water and allow to cool. At this point you can remove the plant material or use as is. Wash hair then rinse with herbal water and let sit a minute. Then rinse again with clear water.
