White Chili

I love this chili.. It is healthy. Please if you want you chili hotter feel free to add more serrano chile. I myself do not like hot.. I chop up extra and put it in a bowl on the side w/ extra, so if someone wants it hotter they can add some chiles. everyone loves this chili. I take it tailgating

olive oil
3 clove
garlic minced
1 small
white onion
1 pkg
extra lean ground turkey
32 oz
chicken broth, low salt
1 can(s)
butter beans 15 1/2 ounces
1 can(s)
white beans 15 1/2 ounces
1/4 tsp
serrano chile chopped very small
1 can(s)
29 oz white hominy
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp
white pepper
1/2 c
heavy cream
1 pkg
mozzarella cheese
cilantro chopped if desired for garnish


1In large stock pot, heat oil, over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, saute until translucent about 10 min.
2Add Turkey and stir untl turkey is crumbled and cooked throughly.
3Add chicken broth, white beans, butter beans, hominy, chiles, cumin, salt and white pepper. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce heat to a simmer for 15 min
4Stir in heavy cream. Serve topped w/ cheese and cilantro.
