I love this chili.. It is healthy. Please if you want you chili hotter feel free to add more serrano chile. I myself do not like hot.. I chop up extra and put it in a bowl on the side w/ extra, so if someone wants it hotter they can add some chiles. everyone loves this chili. I take it tailgating

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small white onion
  • 1 package extra lean ground turkey
  • 32 ounces chicken broth, low salt
  • 1 can butter beans 15 1/2 ounces
  • 1 can white beans 15 1/2 ounces
  • 1/4 teaspoon serrano chile chopped very small
  • 1 can 29 oz white hominy
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 package mozzarella cheese
  • - cilantro chopped if desired for garnish

How To Make white chili

  • Step 1
    In large stock pot, heat oil, over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, saute until translucent about 10 min.
  • Step 2
    Add Turkey and stir untl turkey is crumbled and cooked throughly.
  • Step 3
    Add chicken broth, white beans, butter beans, hominy, chiles, cumin, salt and white pepper. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce heat to a simmer for 15 min
  • Step 4
    Stir in heavy cream. Serve topped w/ cheese and cilantro.
