Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped finely
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cranberries, dried
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
- 1/4 cup butter flavor shortening
- 3 cups cooked turkey
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons blanched slivered almonds
How To Make turkey 'surprise'

Step 1Melt shortening, (any walnut, olive oil, butter, 'whatever'), in large skillet. Add onion and garlic, saute until onion is transparent.

Step 2Add flour and stir until very thick, (add more flour as necessary); then gradually add broth stirring until smooth.

Step 3Add curry, cranberries, and turkey, stirring until thickened to desired consistency.

Step 4Lastly, add lemon juice. Serve over toasted bread, rice, 'whatever'. Top each serving with almonds. Serve piping hot.
