I'm finding new recipes my husband can eat that are diabetic friendly!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey, ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 - small onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons bell pepper, minced
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • - low-carb tortillas
  • - lettuce, tomato, sliced avacado

How To Make turkey tacos

  • Step 1
    Brown turkey until no longer pink.
  • Step 2
    Add dry seasoning, onion, pepper, water and tomato sauce
  • Step 3
    Simmer 20 minutes on low. Serve with low-carb tortillas, sliced avocado, lettuce and tomato.
  • Step 4
    Note: this can also be used in my Mexican Stack recipe for casual entertaining
