I owe this recipe to an in house Chef at a Hospital I worked for 15 years...amazing simple way to have a fall off the bone succulent no fail Turkey...The combination of onions and oranges make for the perfect Turkey.

    butter, salted

    white wine
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder

How to Make Turkey made Simple


  1. Liberally salt,pepper&garlic the entire turkey, place in roasting pan.
  2. peel whole onions and cut in half, cut oranges in half.
  3. place inside cavity
  4. cut stick of butter in half and place half under each skin of the breast.
  5. add the white wine in pan and drizzle top of turkey with olive oil.
  6. cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake at 325 degree for 5 hrs ( 15 mins per lbs)...so adjust if turkey is different size...
  7. uncover last 30 minutes for a golden brown turkey.
