With Thanksgiving coming up this is a good recipe for using up leftovers. This comes from an old Church cookbook.

  • 2 qt
    cubed turkey
  • 1/2 c
    diced giblets
  • 2 c
    diced celery
  • 1/3 c
    diced green pepper
  • 6 Tbsp
    chopped onion
  • 6 Tbsp
    turkey fat or butter
  • 1 1/2 qt
    turkey broth
  • 6 or 7
  • 4 qt
    bread cubes
  • 3 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp

How to Make Turkey Loaf For A Crowd


  1. Dice turkey. Saute peppers, pimento, celery and onion in fat or butter. Beat eggs slightly add to broth. Combine remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs on top of turkey and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour in 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Cut in squares and serve with heated mushroom soup over each square.
