turkey joes ! (not what your thinking!)

I make these with left over turkey (or even chicken) and gravy. The kids love these little delightful sandwiches.... To make a more traditional sloppy joe, skip the gravy and add your favorite sloppy joe sauce or barbeque sauce. We make them as appetizers, main meals and snacks. They are wonderful for parties! So go ahead and buy a bigger bird next time.... you can use the left overs for this! Remember to Play With Your Food! xo

Ingredients

  • LEFT OVER TURKEY AND GRAVY
  • 1 - 4 cups shredded turkey
  • 1/2 - 2 cups gravy
  • 1/4 teaspoon each: ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder
  • 3 - 10 tablespoons minced red bell pepper (optional)
  • 1 - 4 medium minced green onions (optional)

How To Make turkey joes ! (not what your thinking!)

  • Step 1
    Cook the turkey (or chicken) until tender and easy to shred apart. Add all of the desired ingredients and simmer until cooked to your liking and the amount you want to make.
  • Step 2
    Serve inside "silver dollar rolls" that have been split in half to form buns. *** you can garnish with additional fresh red bell pepper and onion if desired.
  • Step 3
    *** You can skip the gravy and make them with your favorite barbeque sauce... or make both!
