For those who want a healthy alternative to burgers, this is something I came across that some might enjoy!

1 can(s)
chickpeas,drained and rinsed
1/2 c
scallions,roughly chopped
1 tsp
ground cumin
1 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp
sea salt
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
3/4 lb
ground turkey breast (12oz), 99% fat free
olive oil cooking spray

How to Make Turkey & Chickpeas Burger


  • 1In a food processor,combine chickpeas,scallions,cumin,pepper,salt and Worcestershire sauce. Pulse until smooth.
  • 2Transfer chickpea mixture to a large mixing bowl. Add turkey and mix by hand until combined.
  • 3Divide turkey-chickpea mixture into 4 equal portions,shaping each into 3/4 inch patty. Heat a large non stick skillet over medium high heat. Coat skillet with cooking spray and cook patties for 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
  • 4Serve on a whole wheat bun, topped with spinach,tomatoes,onions and Dijon mustard..
