My family loves this meat loaf and the sauce makes it divine! We love to serve this with steamed vegies and loaded mashed potatoes. Sometimes I also add sundried tomatoes or red, yellow or orange bell peppers to add some festive color.

Ingredients

  • 1 package lipton recipe secrets onion soup mix
  • 2 pounds ground turkey or ground beef
  • 3/4 cup crumbled ritz crackers
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ground pepper
  • 1/3 - diced green bell pepper
  • 2 - celery stalks diced
  • 5 - mushrooms diced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

How To Make souperior meat loaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Combine all ingredients in large bowl. I use my hands to mix this, to make sure everything is combined well.
  • Step 3
    Spray large bread pan with PAM and shape ingredients into loaf.
  • Step 4
    Combine sauce ingredients in small bowel, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • Step 5
    Cover with sauce and bake uncovered for 1hr 20 min or until done. Let stand 10 min.
