This recipe can be whipped up fast. It's what my husband makes when he comes home and finds out I haven't made anything for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 29 ounces can of tomatoes, cut, undrained
  • 12 ounces can of tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup rice, instant

How To Make quick turkey chili

  • Step 1
    Spray dutch oven with non-stick cooking spray. Add turkey and cook until no longer pink. Drain fat if any. Stir in chili powder, cook 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • Step 2
    Garnish with grated cheese and/or sliced green onions.
