  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1/2 c
    onion chopped
  • 1 clove
  • 1 medium
    green bell pepper- diced
  • 1 can(s)
    crushed tomatoes (28oz)
  • 1 can(s)
    red kidney beans
  • 1 can(s)
    chick peas- drained
  • 1 can(s)
    black beans ( optional to drain)
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    few drops hot sauce (ex.tabasco sauce)

How to Make Mom's Turkey Chili


  1. Brown turkey chop meat, onion, green pepper, and garlic until turkey in thoroughly cooked. Drain. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker . Set on high for 5-6 hours - the longer the better.
  2. Stir as needed and add additional liquid (e.g. water, can of tomato sauce) if needed.
  3. serve topped with your favorite cheese and crushed tortilla chips
