Ingredients
- CORN BREAD
- 3/4 cup self-rising buttermilk corn meal
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- DRESSING
- 1 - recipe corn bread
- 4 - slices white bread (torn in pieces)
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups celery (chopped)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground sage
- 4 to 5 cups chicken stock
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 3 - eggs
How To Make judy's homemade corn bread dressing

Step 1Preheat oven to 425 degreese

Step 2Mix corn meal, flour, buttermilk, & eggs.

Step 3Grease & preheat 8 inch square baking dish. Pour in corn meal mixture. Bake until golden brown. Cool and crumble, (set a side)

Step 4In a medium sauce pan, add butter, celery, and onion, saute until tender. (set a side)

Step 5In a large bowl, combine the crumbled corn bread, white bread, celery, and onion mixture. Add salt and pepper, poultry seasoning, ground sage.

Step 6Add chicken stock, cream of chicken soup, and eggs mixing well. (mixture should be soupy.)

Step 7Preheat oven to 350 degreese. Spray 13 by 9 inch baking dish. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish. Bake for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
