2 lb
ground turkey
2 medium
zucchini, halved and sliced
1 medium
red pepper, cored and diced
1 medium
green pepper, cored and diced
1 medium
onion, chopped
1 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
2 can(s)
(15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 can(s)
(15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
2 can(s)
(15 oz) garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1 can(s)
(28 oz) diced tomatoes, un-drained
3 clove
garlic, minced
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
1 tsp
oregano, dried
fresh ground pepper
sea salt to taste

How to Make Joe's Homemade Chili


  • 1In large pot brown turkey with onions and drain excess fat.
  • 2Place vegetables, half the garlic and oil in pot and saute until tender. Add beans, and tomatoes.
  • 3Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • 4Add spices and the rest of the garlic; mix well. Simmer for five more minutes. Add pepper and sea salt to taste
  • 5NOTES: Freezed great in a Tupperware container.
    For a vegetarian variety simply take out the ground turkey.
  • 6Make a complete plate with a piece of cornbread.
