I don't really care for tomato ketchup so I chose to try and come up with something else to use I have heard everyone say use tomato soup which I can't stand so I decided on A1 sauce and my family loves it along with using turkey mean instead of beef it makes it a lot leaner and less calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1/3 cup a1 sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup milk (pour over bread )
  • 2 stalks chopped celery
  • 1/2 - green pepper chopped small.
  • 2 - eggs
  • 5 slices bacon

How To Make home style meat loaf

  • Step 1
    place your ground turkey in a bowl take two slices of bread and tear it into pieces and pour milk over bread to allow it to soak , chop veggies and add to turkey add salt and pepper ,I add a little garlic powder ( up to you) crack eggs in to bowl set over to 350 and preheat . add everything to turkey meat and mix place in loaf pan and lay 5 slices of bacon across top of meat loaf for fat. cook for about 30 to 35 minutes or till done depending on your oven.
  • Step 2
    take out when done and remove form pan . place on plate now if you like a gravy to add to this for the top I usually add a beef gravy make with corn starch instead of flour.
