This is a basic turkey chili with a lot of flavor and not a lot of calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 28 oz
    crushed tomatoes
  • 2 can(s)
    any type of beans, 2 different kinds
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1.2 tsp
    black pepper

How to Make Healthy Turkey Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large heavy bottomed pot, brown ground turkey until cooked through. Drain fat. Add onion and pepper and saute until soft. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Makes about 10-1 cup servings.
