This is a basic turkey chili with a lot of flavor and not a lot of calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 - bell pepper, chopped
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans any type of beans, 2 different kinds
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1.2 teaspoons black pepper

How To Make healthy turkey chili

  • Step 1
    In a large heavy bottomed pot, brown ground turkey until cooked through. Drain fat. Add onion and pepper and saute until soft. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Makes about 10-1 cup servings.
