Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 can small size chopped green chilis
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic (from jar is fine)
  • 1/2 cup light mayo
  • 1 bunch cilantro, fresh
  • 1/4 cup lime juice - used for two things
  • dash salt and pepper
  • 4 - large buns, soft or ciabatta
  • 1 - tomato slices
  • 1 - avocado sliced
  • - cooking spray, olive oil flavor

How To Make green chili burgers

  • Step 1
Mix turkey, corn meal, green chilis (liquid and all), garlic, s & p then form into 1/4 pound patties. Spray skillet with cooking oil and heat til hot, place patties in skillet and reduce to medium heat and allow to cook. Turn once.
  • Step 2
While meat is cooking, place mayo, 1/2 bunch of leaves from cilantro and half of the lime juice in a processor or handheld blender. This will be the dressing for the burgers.
  • Step 3
Slice the avocados and tomatoes sprinkle with a little S&P and drizzle with the remaining lime juice. This will be the garnish. I place it on the side and then it can be added to the burger for each person's taste. Plate it and garnish with sprigs of cilantro. It's visually appealing and delicious.
