How to Make Easy Turkey Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray large casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl mix together ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped onion, dried oregano, freshly ground black pepper, bread crumbs, eggs and 3/4 cup barbecue sauce. Using your clean hands or a strong spoon mix until well combined. In a large baking dish shape into a wide loaf as you don’t want it too thick.
  3. In a small bowl mix together remaining barbecue sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire Sauce. Spread 1/3 of the glaze over the meatloaf and place in the oven. Be sure to wash the spoon afterwards since it touched raw meat. Bake for 40 minutes and then spread another 1/3 of the sauce over the meatloaf. Bake another 20-30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. Spread the rest of the sauce over the meatloaf and cover loosely with an aluminum foil tent. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. There is no salt needed in this recipe since there is a lot of sodium already in the barbecue sauce.
