easy shepherds pie

This recipe is a big hit with my meat and potatoes man. It's a great way to sneak in a lot of vegetables for those picky kids who don't like their veggies. It's also great for large gatherings. You can just increase it to fit the size of your crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 teaspoons montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can small sweet peas, drained
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes

How To Make easy shepherds pie

  • Step 1
    Spray a medium sized glass baking dish with cooking spray. Brown the turkey in the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and celery and cook until translucent. Add the spices, flour and Worcestershire sauce cooking for about 2 minutes. Add the corn and peas. Season with salt and pepper to your taste. Spoon meat mixture into baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Put under broiler for about a minute to brown tops of potatoes.
