This chili is so easy and delicious - my husband requests it once a week in the winter! It's relatively healthy and makes for great leftovers! We add a little extra red crushed pepper for a great KICK!

1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 medium
onion, diced
2 clove
garlic, minced
1+ lb
ground turkey
3 - 15 oz
cans of reduced sodium black beans, undrained
28 oz
can crushed tomatoes
1 can(s)
green beans, drained
2 Tbsp
chili powder
1 Tbsp
dried oregano
1 Tbsp
dried basil leaves
1 Tbsp
red wine vinegar
1-2 Tbsp
crushed red pepper flakes

1Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Cook onion and garlic until the onions are just slightly translucent. Add the turkey and cook, stirring until meat is browned.
2While the meat is cooking, mix black beans, green beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, red crushed pepper flakes (to your liking) and vinegar into the crock pot. Once the meat is finished browning, add the meat, onions and garlic. Mix well.
3Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours. Serve with cornbread.
