  • - italian bread, loaf (2 slices and then split), toasted
  • SESAME DRESSING
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 medium cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried whole ginger, grated
  • 3/4 can vegetable oil

How To Make chinese italian turkchoy sandwich

  • Step 1
For turkey burgers, I combined about 2 tablespoons of grated carrots and 1 Bok Choy leave (chopped), salt and pepper to taste and a pinch of grated ginger. This made 2 quarter pound burgers. Grill burgers in a iron skillet grill on top of the stove. About 7 to 8 minutes on each side. Just make sure they are done.
  • Step 2
For the slaw: combine 1 grated carrot and 2 grated stalks of bok choy (without the leafy part), the green part of the onions (snipped), 2 teaspoons capers, ginger, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of sesame dressing.
  • Step 3
Once the burgers are done, remove from grill, add about 1/4 cup of water to grill and lay 3 or 4 large bok choy leaves in grill to steam. This takes about 30 seconds.
  • Step 4
Place the steamed bok choy leaves on 4 slices of toasted Italian Bread, top one slice with the burger and the other with the slaw. Slap together sink you teeth into one tasty burger!!
  • Step 5
SESAME DRESSING: Mix all ingredients together and a jar and shake to combine. This make about 1/2 pint. This would also be an excellent marinade for chicken or pork. NOTE: You can purchase store bought if preferred.
