Black Bean Turkey Burger with Corny Slaw

1 1/4 lbground turkey

15 ozblack beans, rinsed, drained, lightly mashed

1 ctortilla chips, crushed

1 Tbspground cumin

1 Tbspchile powder

1 pinchsalt and pepper

2-3 pinchgarlic powder

2-3 pinchonion powder

FOR CORNY SLAW
-
1/2purple cabbage, shredded
-
1/2green cabbage, shredded
-
2carrots, shredded
-
1onion, chopped
-
1 can(s)niblet corn, drained

2 Tbspsugar
-
1 tspground cumin
-
1lime, juiced
-
3/4 cmayonnaise
-
2-3 dash(es)garlic powder
-
2-3 dash(es)onion powder
-

How to Make Black Bean Turkey Burger with Corny Slaw
- In large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, onions, corn.
- In smaller bowl, combine sugar, cumin, seasonings, lime juice, mayonnaise and pour over cabbage mix. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate
- Preheat over to 350 degrees F
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over med-high heat
- In large bowl combine turkey, beans, tortilla chips, all seasonings
- Form patties with hands (makes 4-8 patties depending on how big you want your burger)
- Cook patties in skillet until no longer pink in middle, then transfer to a baking sheet and bake in oven for about 3-4 min and remove
- Serve on bun and corny slaw on top of turkey burger.
