Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
- 15 ounces black beans, rinsed, drained, lightly mashed
- 1 cup tortilla chips, crushed
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chile powder
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
- 2-3 pinches garlic powder
- 2-3 pinches onion powder
- FOR CORNY SLAW
- 1/2 - purple cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 - green cabbage, shredded
- 2 - carrots, shredded
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 can niblet corn, drained
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 - lime, juiced
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2-3 dashes garlic powder
- 2-3 dashes onion powder
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make black bean turkey burger with corny slaw

Step 1In large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, onions, corn.

Step 2In smaller bowl, combine sugar, cumin, seasonings, lime juice, mayonnaise and pour over cabbage mix. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate

Step 3Preheat over to 350 degrees F

Step 4Heat olive oil in a large skillet over med-high heat

Step 5In large bowl combine turkey, beans, tortilla chips, all seasonings

Step 6Form patties with hands (makes 4-8 patties depending on how big you want your burger)

Step 7Cook patties in skillet until no longer pink in middle, then transfer to a baking sheet and bake in oven for about 3-4 min and remove

Step 8Serve on bun and corny slaw on top of turkey burger.
