My Favorite Shrimp Tacos

I love shrimp tacos and this is my favorite. I hope that you will enjoy this tasty treat.

You could easily use charred pineapple or guava instead of the mango.

Pan Fry


  • ·
    4 small white, wheat or corn tortillia (heated, your preference)

  • ·
    1 large, ripe, sweet mango, thinly sliced
  • ·
    1/8 cup sweet red onion, finely chopped
  • ·
    1/4 fresh habanero, finely minced
  • ·
    1 lime, juiced
  • ·
    2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
  • ·
    sea salt & fresh ground black pepper (to taste)

  • ·
    2 tbsp coconut oil
  • ·
    10 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined,
  • ·
    sea salt and fresh ground black pepper (to tase)

  • ·
    red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ·
    coleslaw (your preference - with or without dressing)
  • ·
    toasted coconut
  • ·
    lime wedges

  • ·
    3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ·
    1 tbsp sirracha sauce
  • ·
    1 tsp sugar
  • ·
    pinch of sea salt

How to Make My Favorite Shrimp Tacos


  1. Salsa

    For the salsa, mix all the ingredients together. Taste and re-season if necessary. Set aside until needed.
  2. Shrimp

    Put a large pan on medium heat and add coconut oil, once hot add the shrimp and season well with salt and pepper.

    Cook the prepared shrimp for 3 minutes, (or to your personal preference) then set aside until needed.
  3. Additional Toppings
    Put the optional toppings out for easy assembly.
  4. Mayonnaise Sauce

    In a small bowl, add all the ingredients together and set aside until needed.
  5. Assembly

    Start with tortilla shell, then add coleslaw, red bell peppers, shrimp, salsa, garnish with toasted coconut and drizzle spicy sauce over top, serve with a lime wedge.
