Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • zest of 2 oranges (finely grated)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon dried mint
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound (4-6 chops) lamb chops (loin or rib)
  • 1 large onion. peeled and sliced

How To Make lamb chops with orange zest and turmeric

  • Step 1
    Mix oil, garlic, orange zest, honey, mint, turmeric, and salt together in a small bowl.
  • Step 2
    Place the lamb chops in a single layer in a glass baking dish. Spread marinade over chops and cover with plastic wrap. Marinate in fridge for 2 hours (up to overnight).
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 400F. Coat an oblong baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread onion slices on bottom of dish and place chops on top.
  • Step 4
    Roast for 15-20 minutes, according to how rare you want them.
  • Step 5
    Serve immediately.
