- 4 tablespoons sweet butter, unsalted
- 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
- 2 cloves baked garlic, smashed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, kosher variety
- 1/4 teaspoon hungarian paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, freshly ground
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1/2 pound large fresh shrimp, shells removed, and deveined
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- OPTIONAL ITEMS
- - arugula for a bed for the shrimp
- - parmesan cheese, for topping

Step 2A good heavy-bottom pan is perfect for this recipe. My recommendation would be cast iron.

Step 3Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

Step 4Add the butter, oil, and smashed garlic to a pan over high heat, and stir to combine.

Step 5When it comes to heat, add the shrimp.

Step 6Mix the salt, paprika, white pepper, and cayenne together, and sprinkle on the shrimp.

Step 7Keep the pan active, by stirring and flipping the shrimp.

Step 8Take off the heat, when the shrimp begin to brown, about 3 – 5 minutes, and then add the lemon juice.

Step 10Place on a bed of arugula, drizzle with some of the pan sauce, and sprinkle with parmesan, if using. Enjoy.
