garlicky spiced shrimp brochettes
No Image
Super simple but makes the BEST brochettes that you can use a number of ways. Serve them as brochettes, or chill them and serve over a salad. Put them in a taco. Chop them and make a delicious shrimp salad. Can't go wrong! I like these because they won't smoke up when cooking on cast iron - so I don't have to be grilling outside when its 100 degrees on a hot Florida afternoon.

How To Make garlicky spiced shrimp brochettes
-
1Peel and devein the shrimp. Pat dry with paper towels. Place in a medium bowl and sprinkle with some kosher salt.
-
2Combine all the marinade ingredients. Pour over the shrimp and toss to coat completely. Marinate for 30 minutes.
-
3Thread five shrimp on each skewer.
-
4You can grill these, but I prefer to "grill" them on my cast iron griddle on my stovetop. It won't take long, maybe 1 1/2 minutes per side - so don't walk away. Turn once. Then remove from grill.
-
5Serve immediately. Optionally, serve a wedge of lemon on each plate. Personally, we like them "as is".
