Ingredients

  • 8 ounces flour
  • 4 ounces butter
  • - pinch of salt
  • - water to mix
  • 8 ounces grated gruyere or emmental cheese
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - freshly grated nutmeg to taste
  • ¾ ounce flour
  • ¼ - ½ pint milk (or half cream and half water)
  • 3 - eggs

How To Make porrentruy cheese tart

  • Step 1
    Make the short crust pastry and line a 9-inch flan ring with it.
  • Step 2
    Mix all the ingredients for the filling and spread this over the pastry.
  • Step 3
    Cook in a moderate oven (375°F) for 25-35 minutes and serve hot.
