This is a great sandwich with lots of great flavor. I made this the other day out of items I had in my walk-in. It is great comfort food on these long, cold Winter days. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For sandwich essentials:bbq pulled pork grilled cheese

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 2 slice
    fresh bread, i prefer sourdough
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    sharp cheddar, freshly shredded
  • 1/4 c
    pepper-jack, freshly shredded
  • 1/2 c
    bbq pulled pork, slightly warmed
  • 3 Tbsp
    coleslaw
  • OPTIONAL ITEMS
  • bbq sauce to taste
  • fresh potato chips, or fries on the side

    Chef’s Note: I do not have my usual images for this image, but it was so dang good, I thought I would post it… So yummy.

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

    Mix the warm (not hot) shredded pork, and the two cheeses together in a small bowl.

    Chef’s Note: If the mixture seems a bit dry, add a tablespoon of BBQ sauce.

    Brush the mayonnaise on one side of each of the slices of bread.

    Place one slice of bread, mayonnaise side down into a skillet, over medium-low heat.

    Add the pork/cheese mixture to the top of the bread, and top with the coleslaw.

    Add the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side up.

    Cook, until the bread is nice and brown, and the cheese is melted, about 3 – 4 minutes per side.

  • So yummy

    Slice corner-to-corner, and serve with some BBQ sauce (for dipping), some chips, and a nice pickle wedge. Enjoy.
