Ingredients
- - vegetable cooking spray
- 2 teaspoons butter, unsalted
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 teaspoons all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken, skinned and chopped
- 4 slices whole wheat bread, toasted
How To Make hot chicken sandwiches

Step 1Coat a skillet with cooking spray, and add butter; place over medium-high heat until butter melts.

Step 2Add mushrooms, and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until tender, stirring often. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stirring well.

Step 3Add water and bouillon granules; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until mixture is thickened.

Step 4Reduce heat to low; add chicken to mixture, and simmer 2 to 3 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly heated. Spoon chicken mixture evenly over toast slices.
