The Monte Christine

susan simons

My family loves French toast and I made French toast out of leftover sourdough rounds last night and had lots of leftover French toast and bacon; instead of freezing it I made Sandwiches for lunch today for my husband, MIL, SIL and Nephew. They were a big hit . I did customize hubby's by leaving off the honey mustard and using pure maple syrup instead.

  1. If not using fresh French toast I warm it in the toaster.
  2. If making honey mustard make now. ( I blend some mayonnaise, a little seasoned rice wine vinegar, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, Dijon (or yellow) mustard, honey and a dab of horse radish in a bowl and whisk well with metal whisk).
  3. Put mustard on one side of each slice of French toast, add black forest ham to divided between sandwiches for 4 sandwiches and top with cheese.
