How To Make stuffing stuffed meatloaf 2
-
Step 1Bake your loaf of bread, I used my white loaf recipe. Mix your ground beef and pork well with 1 of the eggs & the mayonaise (yes, mayo!) Sautee your diced garlic, onion and celery in butter until tender, add to bread chunks. add beef broth, eggs, sage, poultry seasoning, thyme, onionpowder, garlic powder and oregano to bread chunks and mix well.
-
Step 2press 1/2 your meat mix into the bottom of your baking dish ( I used a round dish as my layer of stuffing was large) then press your stuffing mix ontop the meat, then another layer of meat.
-
Step 3bake in 350* oven for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Note- I made a beef broth gravy for the top of this instead of the traditional katsup topping. It turned out beautifully. Note-I also made my beef broth with the eggs & stuffing seasoning ahead of time, ran it through my blender with the eggs and let it sit in the fridge about an hour before I used it! There was nothing left! I served with my roasted garlic mashed taters! Thank you Nancy for this fabulous recipe idea! I'll be serving this again soon!
