Ingredients
- 6 large onions, spanish or vadalia, peeled
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, ground pork, or ground turkey (your choice)
- 1 cup rice, instant
- 1 - egg
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup milk
How To Make stuffed onions

Step 1Parboil onions in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes.

Step 2when they are done enough to remove the center portion, do so, and chop the centers very fine.

Step 3Mix the cream cheese with the soup and set to the side.

Step 4In another bowl, mix chopped onion, meat, rice, egg, and half of the cream cheese mixture.

Step 5Stuff onion with the meat mixture and place in a buttered casserole dish, and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes (until meat mixture is done).

Step 6Add milk to the remaining cream cheese mixture and heat to a boiling point. Be careful not to scorch it. Use as a gravy to put atop the stuffed onions. Enjoy!
